The most striking feature about the resort is its dramatic landscaping. There’s a wide expanse of lawn leading from the 18th century Great House down to the beach, which is lined with palm trees and dubbed the Avenue of the Palms.

With immaculate lawns, a peaceful beach, well-appointed cottages and devoted staff, Nisbet Plantation ticks many of the boxes required for an idyllic Caribbean getaway. It works equally well as a base for exploring Nevis by hire car and as a place to tuck yourself away with a good book.
